My mission, along with others, was to find a way to bring her back to Lorient and refit her as much as possible. All this on a very limited budget. My colleagues and I did everything we could but ended up leaving the project to another team. They were more accustomed to Africa and succeeded in making a [[https://www.pole-nautique-loire-estuaire.fr/kreiz/|passage in dry dock at Chantenay]] and send it to the Comoros. Congratulations! The Kreiz was renamed Fatima under the Comorian flag IMO: 9028031. She is still sailing in the Comoros. The latest news is that a breakdown has turned her into a floating hotel before she sets sail again... fingers crossed. ---- //origin of the name Kreiz er Mor :Me zo gañnet é kreiz er mor" (I was born in the middle of the sea)... by the Breton poet Jean-Pierre Calloc'h (1888-1917), from the island of Groix, who was killed by shrapnel during the Great War,// ---- //[[en:apu:cv:start|back to CV summary page ]]//
