====== Conditionnels en anglais ======

Les conditionnels servent à exprimer :
  * des faits ou possibilités réelles
  * des situations imaginaires (présent/futur)
  * des regrets du passé (irréel)

===== 1. Réel / possible =====
**Forme :** If + présent → will + verbe (futur)

  * If it rains tomorrow, we will stay at home.  
  * (S’il pleut demain, nous resterons à la maison.)  

  * If you study, you will pass the exam.  
  * (Si tu étudies, tu réussiras l’examen.)

===== 2. Imaginaire (présent/futur irréel) =====
**Forme :** If + prétérit → would + verbe

  * If I were rich, I would travel a lot.  
  * (Si j’étais riche, je voyagerais beaucoup.)  

  * If she spoke Spanish, she would work in Spain.  
  * (Si elle parlait espagnol, elle travaillerait en Espagne.)  

*Remarque :* toujours **If I were** (et non *If I was*) en anglais formel.

===== 3. Regret du passé (irréel du passé) =====
**Forme :** If + past perfect → would have + participe passé

  * If I had studied, I would have passed the exam.  
  * (Si j’avais étudié, j’aurais réussi l’examen.)  

  * If they had left earlier, they would have caught the train.  
  * (S’ils étaient partis plus tôt, ils auraient pris le train.)

===== 4. Expressions utiles =====
  * **I wish …** : I wish I knew. (J’aimerais savoir.)  
  * **If only …** : If only I had told her. (Si seulement je lui avais dit.)  
  * **Suppose / Imagine …** : Suppose you lost your passport. (Supposons que tu perdes ton passeport.)  
  * **As if / As though …** : He talks as if he knew everything. (Il parle comme s’il savait tout.)
